If people knew how to handle arguments could a relationship have harmony and peace all the time?

It must be terrible when an argument all of the sudden turns into yelling matches, insults and at times even physical altercations. By the time both are shouting and hurling insults, I think it should be over there. It it has gotten to the point of hitting each other, that's blatant disregard and total disrespect of the whole relationship and person. It has gone too far by then. It's toxic.

Seriously, if people knew how to handle difference and had good conflict solving skills, then in an ideal world wouldn't a relationship (esp if it then turns into marriage) have harmony and peace all the time for decades?

I think it should NEVER ever get to the point of yelling, hurling insults nor hitting nor shoving one another.
