What should I do if my boyfriend is the complete opposite of me and has challenges updating?

I notice whenever I ask update from him. He just says he's watching tv, or just cleaned the house or he will be cooking or he just washed his clothes. He hardly goes out of the house as he is an introvert and is fairly content staying in the house and watching netflix. He does help his mother with their small food business and I notice he is the person that always cooks for their family.

However, I am the opposite of all that. I am more work oriented and do not do all those household chores. I don't cook. I frequently go out and prefer to go out. I have a lot of hobbies. Whenever I ask him updates, it's really more of those that he cooked, he cleaned etc. So most of the time, I either have to come up with something to talk about or else there will be dead air cause he doesn't have much going on in his life. I share my travels to him, problems, stories, thoughts. I am very dynamic and that's what he mentioned the first time we called that he likes to listen to me talking. I do love him and in person he's way much better and more comfortable to talk but on the phone, it's like I sometimes have a monologue lol.

In person, he is very touchy, very clingy and always wants to hold hands. He is also very caring

How to cope and is it usual to only have 30 minutes to 1 hour talk every other day? We do text everyday saying good morning and evening and updating in between.

Men and women aren't supposed to be the same. And then you have very different lifestyles and communication styles. You're like the pizza maker who goes into a cake shop & starts complaining that the chef doesn't love making pizzas and does stuff at a different pace.

It could be you two aren't compatible too. You're not married or even engaged. There is ZERO reason to stay in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship if it bothers you. There's always other dudes out there.

And I agree with @bowenw - unless you JUST Want to be boyfriend/girlfriend forever you should consider the long term. Life is shorter than it seems when you're 31ish but the clock is ticking, I assure you. Every year you spend with the wrong guy is a year less with Mr Right.

I suggest you give the serious consideration to what the relationship would be like if you moved in together or got married. Would he be wanting to stay home while you wanted to go out? If that lifestyle isn't for you, you may want to consider moving on now.

Yes but we have dead airs when we talk cause he doesn't have much going on in his life so im forced to conjure topics lol
