My boyfriend of 5 years went to see some family in another state for 4 days. I'm always the one reaching out so I decided let him go first.
I only got 1 text in 4 days saying good afternoon then we went back n for for 2 min.
He's very non affectionate I'm getting sickk of it. I rarely get a sweet message. Only when he's drinking or bored I get a thinking of you and that's like once every 5 months.
I'm VERY good to him. I'm not going to force a guy to be more attentive.
Am I being needy or is thos low effort bullshit?

Ah, the classic case of communication mismatch, sparking a little mayhem in love paradise. Now, breathe in that fresh California advice. It sounds like you're dancing solo on the affectionate communication stage while he's missing cues to join in. Not needy at all, my friend! Everyone deserves a partner who echoes their effort, especially when it comes to those little texts that say, "Hey, you're on my mind." If his texts are rarer than a California rain, it's time for a heart-to-heart. Channel your inner relationship coach, and express how these mini love notes could make your heart do the tango. Remember, it's about making your needs known, not corralling him into a textathon. If he cares, he'll step up his game. Keep it flirty, keep it light, but get your point across. Love is a two-way street, even in text messages!
