How come nobody ever says anything when a man cheats it just gets ignored?

If women truly cared about sex they would have more of it. Yes, women enjoy sex but if they go a month without it they generally don't conclude that life has become a meaningless hellscape so we should rip it all down and start over, like men tend to. Men are thus more possessive about women who will have sex with them - many men don't want a relationship because they want to keep chasing women so, at least initialy, a relationship is sort of a "cost" to assure access to sex. If the women cheats she is giving that sex away to someone while someone else is paying that cost. The guy paying is going to quickly understand that if she giving it out for free he could have had it for free, too.

Or at least that's the way he will see it. It is also the case that as men stay in a relationship they do become more attached without realizing it. That the man started taking the relationship seriously only to discover she was looking for an exit when the whole relationship was her idea is also upsetting. Though generally the reason a woman looks for an exit is because the man isn't taking it seriously fast enough.

But when men cheat there isn't really the same dynamic. The cheating is almost more symbolic than real to women when its just sex; The main threat is their man trying to form a relationship with someone else, but history shows he's not aiming to do that - if anything he is cheating because he want to spend some time pretending he isn't in a relationship at all. It's just the possibility of bonds forming, I think, is why women have any problem with men cheating in the first place; They know the other woman will be angling for it and it doesn't matter how determined he is to avoid it - they are well aware all it takes is a few enthusiastic gulps and he will be coming back again and again. However, once the guy is caught he no longer has the ability to pretend he isn't in a relationship, so the cheating loses 100% of its charm just like that, which might make it easier to ignore.
