Being someone who prefers older women honestly I just think it's a matter of preference, at least in my case - my wife often jokes that she doesn't care seeing me talking with women my age or younger, but she would "raise her antennas" if I was talking or being approached by an attractive forty something.

Of course it's just joking, she trusts me completely and I would never cheat on her like that. But I do notice she did get jealous that one time I complimented one of our friends on her 45th birthday ;)
