Usually, they've had repeated bad experiences where other people did legitimately mistreat them or screw them out of something they deserved.

It only takes one or two experiences where some woman straight up uses you before you start hating women.

Hypocrisy is a turn off, for sure. I really firmly believe that you should be doing everything that you ask of other people. That's how I started to live my life once someone called me out on my own BS. If I don't do it myself, I don't ask anyone else to do it and I am EXTREMELY insistent about that. What's interesting is that living out that standard of personal conduct has limited my dating prospects, while vastly improving my success with those prospects.

If you want the kind of lady who has a PhD, runs marathons and dresses to kill, you'd better be the guy who does those things himself.
