We had dated for a period of time and agreed to keep contact, but his behavior let me to believe he didn't want that anymore, so I ended things. He explained his part, but I misunderstood and it escalated the situation after which he started ignoring me entirely. I have sent a message to express my misunderstanding, but I'm scared he has deleted it/ is ignoring me and moved on already. Does it really happen that fast? It ended 5 days ago.

The fact that he didn't reach out like he said he would. We agreed on staying friends and not date. He knew I had feelings for him, and he didn't want to feed into that, so he didn't always engage when i got personal. To me it felt like rejection altogether, and made me feel like he didn't want to keep touch - but apparently the feelings were mutual. It made no sense to me
