We’re long distance, and he’s seen the room before but I guess he didn’t pay attention. I went to a protest when Roe V Wade was overturned. I made a sign that said IF MY UTERUS WERE AN ASSAULT RIFLE IT wouldn't BE REGULATED. I hung it on my wall and it’s been there ever since. The other night we were on a video call and he saw but didn’t bring it up until tonight. He said he doesn’t want to stay here anymore when he comes to town because of it.
Then he said that all women who have abortions are felons and murderers. He doesn’t know I had one several years ago in college, long before I ever knew him.
I keep asking him if he’d feel that way if it were his family, my family, or friends, and he just says “those scenarios aren’t real”. Which I think is code for “I know I’m cornered and wrong but I can’t admit it”. But now I’m questioning the whole relationship. I don’t know if I feel safe anymore with him. let's face it. if a man kicked a pregnant woman and caused a miscarriage, he'd be charged with homicide. if he killed a pregnant woman, he'd be charged with double homicide
