If you were in labour would you want your dad in the delivery room?

I have a friend at work who just had a baby girl and is choosing to a single mom. She wanted her dad to be her support person for the delivery. Is that something you would be comfortable with?

Nah my dad came in the triage room when I was first at the hospital. They told me to take my pants and underwear off for a cervical check. Right then my dad left to the waiting room 😂

Since our relationship is mending but was still rather distant at the time, no. Had my partner and his mother in the room with me, and I wouldn't have changed any of it.

If it were possible, I'd probably want my wife there but if she or my mom were not available then I guess I'd choose him. I dont have any ill will against him, my mom just told me he wasn't much help when she was giving birth to me lol

If thier is no one else then yes. Support is very important. People die from childbirth. But in any other circumstances, its a big NO
