Work-life balance. You can be a proctologist and make $600k a year which is great, but you have to look at someone's ass all day long. It's great money, but it is one of the highest-paying doctors because of what you have to do.

Sure some people will never have Jeff Bezos money, but some people like being private citizens and not having to deal with the stress that Jeff Bezos deals with.

It just depends on what you want. If you want tons of money and no work-life balance then go for it. You will be burnt out most of the time and you won't be able to enjoy much which is not sustainable for a lot of people.

I make a lot of money because of my goals in life, but that's just my personal goals. I understand why someone wants time to relax and not have to be stressed out at work all the time.

I need a little bit of money to do what I enjoy doing, but once I've met those needs I don't want to make any more. I hate worrying about money and "success." It is not my intention to become rich. Rich people tend to be toxic, self-centered, egoistic and those are exactly the same people that will step on anyone to achieve those goals. I am not that one.

I study in a field that is not going to make me rich but that interests me. I don't buy designer clothes when regular ones are just as good quality wise. The initial production cost of the children labor in Asia is exactly the same, manufactured in the exact same factories by the exact same children except that at the end, a child saws a designer label and the price of that piece of clothing is sold a hundred fold of the exact same one that has no designer label.
