Has blocking and ghosting gotten so common when breaking-up instead of talking first?

Even if I were to catch him cheating, I would at least message him a brief ''I caught you cheating (attached the evidence), it's over, get out of my life'' note. I can understand blocking and ghosting immediately if you already broke up, stated the reason and they keep contacting you. Ok fine. But if doing a break-up (even if it's valid), I would let him know before blocking them.

But I'm noticing that every time there is a deal-breaker, both had a small argument or it's something you feel uncomfortable with, more people are nowadays resorting to just blocking and ghosting as first resort, making the person wonder what the hell is going on, if they did something wrong, what happened, etc. I find that super immature. That person doing that sure isn't ready for a relationship at all. Has that method become common nowadays?
