I send my wife special Starbucks deliveries a few times per week, and her coworkers appear to be jealous, should I stop?

My wife is extremely picky with her coffee, she hates hot coffee or coffee without a shit ton of milk.

Whenever my wife texts me that her day is boring or stressful I will uber eats Starbucks to her work so she has a coffee and a cake pop. It’s something I can afford to do and she absolutely loves whenever I surprise her at work with a sweet treat.

I’ve been doing it for the past couple of months with no issue.

A few days ago my wife came home and told me she absolutely loves the Starbucks and doesn’t want me to stop, but that some of the other women have started to kick up a fuss over it and from what my wife was able to gather, the woman think my wife is rubbing it in their face that she gets treated to a nice drink every few days.
It’s started to cause some issues in the break room due to some of the woman being incredibly jealous.

I’m wondering if I stop for a while or continue doing it?

I know she doesn't want me to stop but I am afraid it will make her work environment worse if I don't stop.

The obvious answer here is yes, women can be jealous and that may very well be what’s happening here. On the other hand I know there are two sides to every story, and your wife could either be misinterpreting what’s going on, or even oblivious to something she does when receiving the Starbucks that rub her coworkers the wrong way. Who knows what her dynamic usually is with those women, there could’ve even been things to cause this drama that you aren’t aware of.


In any case, one of my favorite quotes goes: what they think about me is none of my business. If they are in fact jealous without cause then that’s no one’s problem but theirs.

I would say sit her down and have a talk with it where you voice your concern and then re ask her if she want you to continue or not, this is a decision to have for both of you not alone.
