Why is my ex wife upset that I am seeing someone new?

We divorced two years ago but it was really amicable and we kept being friendly... sometimes we text or talk on the phone.

Recently I started seeing a new girl and told me my ex wife.

She got a bit cold, wrote me "Congratulations." A couple of days later she told me she's taking a step away from me because it hurts her a bit to see me with another person.

Why is that? I wasn't that upset when She dated other guys...

For the people saying she wanted to reconcile, why? What's the point, she wanted the divorce. She'll always be a dearest friend, we are already reconciled as friends. What's the point of getting into a romantic relationship with her again

I'm sure you wanted to do the same thing when you know she was dating other guys. But for some reason either you stuck around. Maybe because you thought you could win her back. .

So I to say congratulations.. and doing this she's doing the right thing by walking away
But I will also say if you're using this as a way to make her jealous and hurt her well you would be wrong for doing so and you just might push her over the edge which would be good for her so many people play games by doing this I hope it's not a game because it's not right if it is anyway good luck.
