My boyfriend (18yrs) mom texted me on Saturday night saying, “We’re ending the relationship, I have to set boundaries and they have been crossed repeatedly. I’m sorry but there will be no more communication,”.

The thing is though that she won’t tell me or my mom what boundaries were crossed. She completely cut off communication from me with him on text, Snapchat, and deleted his Instagram account and declined the calendar invitations I sent him for our monthly anniversaries.

My mom has texted her asking her to please give her a call back, and has called her twice and left her 2 vm’s asking her just for some info as to what happened so she can help me through this, and has received nothing back. She has also called his dad and the same thing, nothing. We were looking at our text messages and there were a couple texts that didn’t even sound like they were from him.[Screenshot below]

( I honestly think his mom set us up). I’m only 17 almost 18, and we’ve only seen each other like 5 times in person since we go to different schools. He’s the only friend I have and I don’t want to loose him. We’ve been best friends since 5th grade and we’re now in 12th.

We’ve NEVER talked or even brought up sex or anything like that. He’s never said anything like those texts EVER.

It’ll be a week tomorrow, and I saw pics on Instagram that his cousin posted from another family member and he had the bracelets on that I made him and he had his phone but he hasn’t reached out to me at all. I’m still blocked.
I miss him so so so so much and it’s killing me that his mom is doing this to me. I’ve barely eaten since Sunday due to heartbreak and anxiety. I know he’s ok but I just have a bad feeling his mom told him that I broke it off or something. This isn’t like him at all.

You being a minor, a child according to the U. N. Conventions, the risk of being prosecuted in case there is physical contact beyond what is acceptable was probably too big for his mother since your (ex) boyfriend is an adult and you a minor.

There are a number of reasons why a parent would interfere with a child's emotional feelings towards another person. One of those valid reasons could be that the boy's scores in school have become so bad because he prioritizes the relationship over his education. Whatever the reason is, it is perhaps not the worst thing that could happen to you because having a toxic parent that dictates his/her child how to behave will also do it when that child is long an adult.

Being in a relationship with someone that potentially does not have the force of character to stand up for himself can ruin a relationship. Good luck.

He's also my 1st crush and boyfriend. He has a brother that is 15 that they favor over him. He has epilepsy and autism along with adhd. I get it, he’s special needs but it’s not like he’s non verbal or anything. He hasn’t his seizures under control with meds.

He knows how to calm me down when I’m upset and I know how to calm him down when he’s upset.
