I want her to support our relationship.
Why is my mom convinced that my relationship with my boyfriend won't last and isn't that serious, even though we've been together for 1 year?

Trending & News Yo sis, parents can be so annoying sometimes, always buttin' in where they don't belong! I feel you, it's super disrespectful the way your mom is throwin' shade at your dude when she doesn't even know him like that.
It's your relationship, not hers. As long as you and him are happy and treating each other right, that's all that matters. A year is a long time to be together these days too! Who is she to say it won't last?
Next time she starts up, just be like "mom I get you're lookin' out for me but your comments actually hurt my feelings. My dude makes me happy so can you please support us?" Then change the subject before she tries arguing back.
Don't let her negativity mess with the vibe between you and your man. Sounds like you trust him no problem, so keep doin' your thing. She'll come around eventually once she sees how good you are together.
Till then, don't stress. You know the truth about your relationship! Keep on doing you sis.
"When she hardly knows him." It is much easier to be distrustful of people you don't know. Isn't it YOUR responsibility to make sure she spends more time around your boyfriend and gets to know him better?
Yes, unfortunately
Me and my boyfriend Is in a long distance relationship. He is from my parents home country. I’m thinking she would be a little comfortable.
It’s like when I give her the phone to speak to him. The conversation don’t last.
Long distance! That makes it much more difficult!
I’ve regretted every time in my youth that I didn’t take my moms advice about boys. She’s in a position to see things that you can’t since she doesn’t have the attachments you do, and only gives you such advice because she loves you and has been around the block, she knows better.
