We met in our first year of middle school and we pretty much instantly became best friends but as the years went on and we got a little older I started to notice how cute he is but I was always too scared to tell him because I thought if I told him and he didn't feel the same way things would weird between us anyway fast forward to 12th grade he kinda started dropping hints that he liked me too like I got cold one time when we were on a college tour together and he gave me his jacket, another time I was on my way to science class and he held the building door open for me and we were lunch one time and he let go ahead of him in the line but I was oblivious and thought he was just being the sweet person he is anyway fast forward again and it's the summer before we started college and he texted me one night and asked if he could tell me a secret and I said sure and he told me he liked me and asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes and as of now we've been together for a little over 2 years and I couldn't be happier

We were out to breakfast with some mutual friends. The Cubs had just won the World Series. Someone at the table was wearing a St. Loser Cardinals ball cap or t-shirt or something, which sent me on a gleefully condescending monolog about how useless the Cardinals were, how they would never win again, how the Cubs even beat them into the World Series that year and so forth. While this is going on, in walks this young lady from Eastern Illinois, where they are all Cardinals fans.
