I'm having anxiety over this?

My mom and I had to have my sister involuntary committed for mental health. She's been mentally abusive, suuuuicidal and an absolute nightmare to all of us. She's 45 has a son and gets out of everything. Doesn't have a job, due to her criminal record.


I just hope we did the right thing cause now I'm having anxiety over it.

Like what if she comes after me, or my mom. We have to also get her evict3d from our house.

She broke open our back door.



Im now worried she's gonna contact the registry cause I'm a CNA and she's gonna have my cna license removed or taken away from me. Or contact my job and have me fired. Cause she said she's coming after me next and she said she was gonna have me arrested.

There is not much she can legally do to you or your mom for institutionalizing your sister. If she is suicidal, if she is abusive and probably does not care too well for her child, then you did the right thing. It was for her wellbeing as much as for yours.

Also, she will not be able to have your CNA license revoked since your action is not related to your professional activity and you haven't done anything wrong to one of your patients. Your company will certainly not fire you over a private issue that is unrelated to your work.

The only worry I would have is that she will harm you physically in a bout of rage but this is a sure way for her to be institutionalized again and she knows that.

turn it over to God, but do make plans to prepare for adverse reactions. you did the best you could do given the situation.

It's a very complex emotionally damaged high processing brain. Find the emotional damage and release, possibly physical damage and chemical damage and repair... maybe better. send her to church for spiritual healing, probably the only path outside of meds... whcih have other side effects.

@Nikki1989 for sure. .. Emotionally. That does not mean ignore, put head in ground and ignore. I've seen such situations go better, but they can go way worse too. Find root problems solves problem, but that may be unlikely as is so burried. If don't believe nor have that support, then is useless to you.
