I've been with my girlfriend for 6 months and we've never had any argument. Is it unusual for a relationship?

Yes and no. Sometimes a woman acts peaceful because she doesn't value the relationship enough to ever point out anything. At the other end of the spectrum she could be like that because she's afraid of rocking the boat. The other thing is -- using the boat analogy - imagine your boat is on a tiny pond with no waves. It's very stable. Now imagine the same boat in the rapids on a raging river. So things outside of your relationship or things done can change the environment and then you will see if she never argues.

Until you go through hardships together, you will NEVER really know what kind of woman you have. The kind who bails or the kind who would follow you through a zombie apocalypse?

A woman being all calm, logical, pleasant, and perfectly content means something different in a short relationship vs. you've been through stuff, loyalty has been proven on both sides -- I mean, imagine if the world's hottest woman walked up to you now and tried to get with you. How would you react? What if the world's hottest dude walked up to your girlfriend? Till you know the answer 100%... it's just not the same.

Personally, when I found a woman I enjoyed being with more than any others I focused on moving that relationship to higher levels. It didn't happen over night either. But I was always aware of all of the above and there were indeed surprises along the way but it all worked out.

Well it is still in the honeymoon period so not that unusual but is also fairly rare not to have a single tiff. Mostly it is the girl that starts fights for attention, which is a bad way to get attention but it is still attention.

If you two have similar values and opinions on certain things, then thats good. I've known couples that rarely have arguments (if any) and others that like to debate. As long as you two feel that you can freely communicate your opinions within the relationship, and they're are being respected and acknowledged, then I would say 'no arguing' could be a good thing.

My current partner and I argue more than any previous partner I've had, however, I feel more fulfilled. In my previous relationships, the problem lied in the fact that we didn't feel comfortable discussing certain topics with each other. Things got 'ignored' and feelings got suppressed, only to later lead to an explosion.

My grandpa died before I was born but my dad told me that during their 30 year marriage before he died, they only had one argument the entire time they were married to each other. The argument was when a bunch of people become homeless during the earth quake and needed a bed to sleep in, my grandma was worried they would die of cold and starvation if she did not let them stay in her home while my grandpa was worried letting strangers live with them would make it harder for his own children to thrive so they argued about that, my grandma wanted to save the strangers' lives and grandpa wanted to protect his own kids from strangers living in their home.

6 month is very less for arguments. If after 2-3 years also you are able to maintain this while both being true to yourself then congratulations you are in such a rare level of healthy relationship with better understanding and maturity. v
