Desperate people think that way. I don’t care how hot a girl looks to me , if she is just coming onto me just because of my wallet , she’s in for a rude awakening because she won’t get a dime from me. Only desperate people think they need money to impress a girl or get her attention, and yes there are Gold diggers out there that will chase a guy for his money , but unfortunately that guy is a moron if he falls for that shit. I only date girls that want to be team partners , not mooches , if a girl I am dating holds her hand out to me and asks for money , I would laugh and say get a job you lazy bitch. The only thing I am paying for is the date , but other than that she is own her own. Girls’ that think a man is supposed to support her financially is a girl that every guy should kick to the curb where she belongs

The "why" might depend on each person. But I'll give my answer as to why. I'd want money so that way I could at least pay for my own dates & be able to gift my partner something if I wanted to. Even if it would be as simple as gifting them a flower the first time we meet & me paying for my own meal. For me, that alone is enough. Any other reason is financial but that's pretty much a need if you ever live on your own, however at that point that isn't about dating, just keeping yourself in check.

I think that many people assume that love can (always) be bought and therefore assume money is a prerequisite. Love has nothing to do with money and wealth. Think of the super-rich like Elon Musk or Bill Gates. I am pretty sure that they are not or were not happy with their relationships, at least not as happy as many poor people.

Because it is fed to them by conmen trying to sell a false product the idea that women won’t talk to you, acknowledge your existence or have sex with you unless you have a lot of aggression, money, dominance, and don’t take ‘no’ as an answer 24/7 365.

These programs feed off of a make adolescent’s insecurities, irrational fears, and predetermined beliefs to feed them a false solution program at a “low cost”. Think about it from the victim’s perspective…. $10 or $50 or $75 or $100 is a small price to pay to get Bitches, mansions, Bugattis, and loads of stuff that will make everyone jealous & wishing to be you.

It is unrealistic, they don’t care if you happen to strike it rich because their priority is money. People? Which people, where? I've heard reports of traditional cultures where money is extremely important. I've heard of this in Russia and North-Africa for example, which seems to be due to a combination of traditional roles plus lack of wealth in such countries. So, in such a landscape, money would stand for safety, and safety would be a rare gem. But in wealthy countries? Money should be way more abundant, so, less concerning.

Although, USA looks erratic at this point, this is a wealthy country but spread is terrible, with extreme wealth coexisting with extreme poverty, so lack of money might scare people as if they lived in a developing country? Making them excessively checking for money before stepping into relationships?

Culturally speaking, the way I was raised, I would never even go on a date if I didn't have income. Not because that income needed to be spent on random women but it was just a priority thing. Same with getting married. If I was broke I never would have. I guess it's the same reason you would set out on a road trip in your car if you had no way of paying for gas, food, hotel or whatever else you needed.

There's an old saying.. that women always cost money even if you think they don't. Mostly true.

You need money to support a family you one day will have. As a woman who wants to be a wife and mother, I’d not marry a man who is lazy, doesn’t care about money, doesn’t have work ethic.
Many reasons why the dynamic of men being the breadwinners and women staying home with kids is the only right way for us to work but the world we live in nowadays says completely different. Look at how the world is now though :)
