Can someone help me, think my boyfriends manipulating me how do I handle this?

my partner/ child’s dad all week has been out all night drinking and smoking with his friends. He has not told me he’s not coming back. Everytime I set a boundary he twists it on me and says ‘ok I will move out then you’re so dramatic I don’t want to be with u anymore’ then I end up crying scared to lose him and beg for forgiveness. How do I stop doing this? What do I say when he says this to me?

Yeah, he knows what reaction that will get out of you. I bet a person like that would be next to impossible to reason with however, because I bet he rationalizes that behavior to himself as well, justifying his actions in his own head without ever really considering what it is that he's doing. He just does whatever suits him, I imagine.

Either way, him acting that way is obviously not considerate, and it's not communication. Whether or not he's aware, it sounds like typical manipulation. You could probably make an argument for gaslighting too 🤔 and I don't know what else he says and does, but maybe emotional abuse as well?

😮‍💨 I think personally if I was in that situation... I imagine there's no way to get them to see reason, and so as much as I'd hate it, the only option left would be to split up.
