It's just a day. It kinda sucks cos like people in relationships get to choose to do valentine type things any time. So it only really effects and kicks single people in the face right?

But life is about accepting what you can't change and changing what you can.

You can't change that it's valentine but you can change your attitude to it.

You can make it about platonic love and arrange to spend it with someone you know as a friend. You can choose to make it about self love and arrange to do something special and enjoyable for yourself.

You can choose to ignore it totally...

You got time to decide! Make a plan and feel better! And if nothing else... I'm sure myself and many others will just be on here lol

Very happily spending it alone, actually, possibly at home sharing pizza with my bestie.


Reason being is that I prefer to go out either the weekend before/after the day. I’m not a fan of all the cliche activities going on that day. I’m confident enough in myself and my choices to avoid all the gaudy pink-and-red drama.


Ironically, one of my besties is the kid who gave me my very first little paper valentine in elementary school. He typically shows up with pizza and we heckle cheesy movies.

Valentines’ Day is a made up holiday, you aren’t missing a thing , if you don’t like being alone , go find someone , plenty of girls’ out there that are looking for love. When you find someone you love and they love You , you will realize Valentines’ Day should be every day with your partner , if you love each other , you don’t need Valentines’ Day to tell your partner you love them.

I will probably be spending it alone, but that is fine. I think it is over-rated and to me it exists only for the commercial aspect to it. A dating or a married couple can be romantic anytime. It doesn't depend on a specified holiday.
