Why is love so hard to find nowadays?

I feel like i’ll burst into tears once i find love! Because I’ll think it’s a dream because i have never gotten love. I don't know what it feels like. I’m a guy! Being a guy honestly sucks!

Sadly because people are more selfish these days , I blame a lot of it on social media for brainwashing people to believe grass is greener on the other side and brainwashing people to set higher standards and preferences for themselves. Most people only want what they feel is best for themselves and if the other person doesn’t match exactly what they are after , they will kick them to the curb or completely ignore someone that might actually be amazing to them. It’s ok to have preferences but to have high preferences is stupid to do. Because no one on this planet is perfect , there is no such thing as perfect. So a lot of people live their lives in La La Land thinking they only can accept the best. Sadly they are going to be waiting a long ass time for that to happen , if it ever actually happens. I am far from perfect but I know my preferences aren’t as high as a lot of other peoples’ preferences, like age , Age doesn’t really matter to me as long as she is above legal age of consent , I date older and younger girls’ because her age doesn’t define who she is as a person , I dated younger girls’ that treated me better than girls’ my age or older , so that’s why age doesn’t really matter to me , Nowadays it seems a lot of younger girls’ like older guys’ so I am not complaining whatsoever. So people that hold preferences are only limiting themselves from actually finding someone that could be amazing to them.

Because too many people are self-centered and don't care about others. They have to be taught empathy and mindful behavior. Everything is forced and fake. There are too many apps giving the illusion of "options" when actually love was a rare enough thing to find to begin with. "Reality TV" also messes with people's notions of what a normal relationship looks like, so if it doesn't manifest itself in some lavish, dramatic way it's rejected...

We need to allow ourselves the time and space to love, the opportunity to appreciate the good person who is right under our nose and in our loves. Don't take so much for granted...

It's because people get the wrong idea and think loving a partner is fantasizing about them for decades. Then they want to break up as soon the infatuation stage ("butterflies in your stomach" feelings) fades instead of committing and working things out if nothing is wrong with the relationship, other than not feeling sparks anymore.

Many of those relationships would've progressed to mature, realistic love if people stop breaking up for that "but I'm madly infatuated anymore" nonsense.

The idea of how relationships are supposed to and should work doesn't work with our current society and a lot of people have unrealistic standards too. If you're an average looking guy you're fucked, if you don't have money or a charming personality your fucked too. Even if I was a 10 the financial situation, I live in still makes dating impossible and that's a really common issue these days. You pretty much can't date anymore if you're not middle class in most places it's just too expensive especially since most woman don't want to go Dutch.

Wealth is a measure of value in our society and I'm just a few steps above homeless. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck often times rent alone costing over half of it. You can't date or have a committed relationship in this environment. Our society is broken on multiple levels that's making us live in unhealthy and unnatural ways that go against our biology and people wonder why mental health issues are sky rocketing.

We're still monkeys people forget that. We need social connection, sex, and physical affection and we have since we were related to chimps and before. When you're alone Isolated, touch starved and single you're living a lifestyle opposed to what we're biologically wired to want. Monkeys without troops die in the wild but we're so successful as a species we have mostly overcome Darwinism so now the rejected monkey's that would just die are just mentally ill and sad all the time like zoo animals.

There have been studies done on this and I believe it. Humanity is suffering from the same mental condition Zoo animals have because of the society we've created being so unnatural. It's called Zoocosis People don't connect anymore they doomscroll; people don't date anymore they fuck people on tinder, people don't start family units they get pregnant and bail or get divorced, we don't go out in nature we get drunk in bars and nightclubs.

If we don't solve our countries birthrate issue its going to cause our entire country to suffer a major economic whiplash unless it's fixed soon. People don't realize how bad this is, if the workforce keeps declining at this rate the country is going to collapse under its own weight from too much need and not enough supply of basically everything. We saw this with China's one child policy and their country is a death spiral to the point the need war with Tiawan in order stabilize their economy by switching to a war time economy.

Russia has done so much damage to their male population that they're forcing their soldiers to give semen samples before they get sent in meat attacks and woman with less then 2 children are being taxed for it.

Society doesn't work without social bonds families and a steady reproduction rate that's part of why in early civilizations like certain Greek states there was very severe social pressure to reproduce and have children because on the scale of a city state like Athens for example even a slight population decline is a massive problem so now think of that on the scale of the most powerful country in the world?

This could cause a worldwide depression if the American economy collapses hard enough. Our population is not in a healthy place on many, many levels and varying ways. This is a massive problem for society on so many levels I'm shocked things aren't being done to try and prevent it. The "American dream" was what was keeping this country alive and it's dead now and has been for some time. Thats the reality, love isn't hard to find, it's been butchered.

Because people think no one is looking for a genuine connection - so everyone puts up a guard, which leads to a more disconnected way of communicating.
I think most people, in their core, do want sincere love, most people are just afraid of getting hurt.

Social media has created a generation of people wanting instant gratification.

Nature does not play by that game book. It's hidden. It's unplugged. And it's chemical. If you are paying attention you catch the little signs.

It’s not just hard to find, it’s simply not worth finding. People only care about themselves, especially women. They care more about how they’re being treated they never stop to wonder how they’re treating the man they claim to love. Men only want to feel loved and women want more than just that. Male friendships, sex, love, etc which explains why they cheat more than men.

We are even more connected to each other via the web but that increases options. The good looking attract many but hard to find true love and the unattractive attract very few over their lifetime and of those few only one would work out. Hard for both sides just difference is abundance and scarcity

because being in love is not a hallmark movie. It's about holding it down with someone and not jumping ship when it gets tough. But everyone including me is guilty of wanting to do this, as it's hard not to when social media is full of seemingly endless options that may or may not even exist in real life.
