They’re such a waste in my opinion. You get a guy that puts so much effort in, in the beginning and then a few months in he’s so nonchalant.
This has happened with every single guy in my life.
I’ve come to the conclusion that men want to just go about their lives like they’re single but then have someone at home they can always go to because she’ll always be there, just to sleep with. It’s like the sex is secured that way and then they can live like they’re single.
People say just date older… honey they are all the same… went on a date with a guy 8 years older than me. His hairline receding/falling out, he was 32 (at the time of the date) and saying he didn’t know what he was looking for! Like are you kidding? You’re in your 30s and your hair is falling out in patches and you sit there and say you don’t know what you’re looking for.
I’m 24, I want to get married and have kids. I’m monogamous, traditional, feminine and I just want a calm/quiet life with a husband that’s obsessed with me as I am with him and have a bunch of kids.
Men don’t want that. They say they do but they don’t.
Men want a wife to look after him while he’s ogling at basically every other woman he see’s while he’s suffering a porn addiction along with having a “work wife” or in general hits on women at his work with inappropriate “jokes”.
I work in a male dominated industry and let me tell you, men cheat any chance they can get even if it’s not actually fucking a woman, they already committed a adultery when they say disgusting things to young women, staring at other women with lust, adding a woman on social media even if they don’t like the posts, they look at them with lust and are invested to know what’s happening in another woman’s life.
At the company that I work at, where there’s about 800+ staff and 80%, maybe even more, are men, I realise how more men than we even understand are actually dirty pigs. Foul the lot of them.
They go home to their wives/ girlfriends that love them, make them lunch, do the dishes, gave up their life and their body to have kids all for their husbands to hit on and lust over them women at work and even cheat.
In the whole company I know 4 men who haven’t cheated on their partner. How incredibly sad and scary. Most the wives don’t even know.
This is what’s made me give up on relationships and love. From now if a man ever wants me, actually wants me, he needs to put in the work and he will be held accountable for what he does. Women need to stop letting porn infested minds of men ruin their lives and hurt them.

There's a lot of good points mentioned there and a lot of things that are understandable to why you're perspective in men have shifted the way they did, I'm not going to deny a lot of men behave incorrectly or even don't appreciate a good woman but I will say they aren't all like that and I'm sure you know that, like you said you know 4, I also have the same issue with women that matches my preferences in morals and character, although I think you should try and see it in the perspective I do or something similar, my perspective is one only, that's all you need, it might be a hastle but all you need is one man with these required preferences and standards you want which even tho it might be hard and have a level of difficulty you should remain hopeful because not only is one doable but it's realistic, imagine if you had to find 100 of these good men to marry now id be able to see the lack of motivation there but just one is all you need, remain hopeful, I believe it's something worth dying trying if it reaches that point.

Yes I do believe there are genuinely good men out there but the number is EXTREMELY small and they are so hard to find. I do have hopes I find a good man who has morals, values and standards just as mine but my hopes are not high.

That hope might go up and down and that's kinda normal based on mood and stuff, the importance is don't let your hopes die down when you feel like you might have a good opportunity, they say your worst enemy is yourself.
