If your partner scam or steals money from you (and it gets accompanied by lies), I think that would be financial betrayal. If that's a betrayal, then it's destructive just like cheating because it you can't trust them anymore. You sure don't love nor respect you by scamming and stealing from you. Trust has been shattered too.

So therefore, if you get scammed by your partner or they steal money from you, isn't that just as bad as cheating? My aunt once got scammed and this caused her trust issues for a long time.

Yes it is because it’s breaking the trust you both should already have for each other , so if a partner betrays you and steals from you or cheats on you , they don’t truly love and care about you , they just liked the convenience of you and liked using you for what they could get from you. So yes break up with that piece of shit if he is stealing from you

That is an immediate scorched earth response if it was done to me. I'd cut all ties and spread what kind of womans she is across the whole town for that to ruin her name. Cheating and abuse are the 4th evilest thing you can do to another person. After all, if she'll cheat and rob you, she'll do the same to other people so all you're doing is making sure it doesn't happen to them too and if she has a problem with her name being dragged through the mud then maybe she shouldn't have been a cheater or a thief. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. I saw a girl on here who was dating an illegal immigrant, and he cheated on her, so she tricked him into crossing the border back into Mexico and ditched him there. Frankly I thought that was based AF, Hell truly hath no fury like a woman scorned. I love it when cheaters get what they deserve regardless of gender.

Yes.
They have directly and knowingly acted against the aspirations of their relationship and it's a breach of trust.
Whether it is more or less of a breach compared to physically cheating depends on the individuals involved and their attitudes and tolerance but in the end it doesn't really matter.
The relationship has to be more important than the individual for it to be effective.
