Why would a guy ignore you after he finds out you’re married? can't we be friends?

Apparently he's not interested in that scenario. Personally I give him some credit for not trying to get with you even though you're married, but that's a personal opinion that has become very open to interpretation over time. Depends on the values of the people involved

Personally, I like friends and have had female friends that I would do things like go to stage performances with etc., or maybe as part of a group where there was no sort of intent by either party. Sometimes though it can feel awkward if the guy has a real physical reaction to you.

Most guys’ don’t want to be just friends’ when he meets an attractive girl. So when he found out you were married , he assumed you are not available so he moved on hoping to find someone available.
