Am I not good enough if my boyfriend says he's not possessive about me but was possesisve in his former relationships?

My boyfriend told me in a random conversation he was extremely possessive in all his previous relationships but not with me. I didn't know what to think about it. Am I overthinking or is there anything?

I'm pretty sure he meant that as a good thing. Generally when people talk about people being possessive, they mean it as a negative thing. You know that, right? 🤔

Nope extreme possessiveness isn't a good thing, there's a difference between territorial and protective and obsession and possessive
