What parts of yourself do you work on to keep your relationship going?

My thing is I try to have my own career so I can choose how I spend the money after I get married. If it is his money, he might not let me buy what I want with it.

Having your own money to draw upon is fine but the idea is a married couple pool their resources otherwise you may as well just be house mates.

I work hard on being able to communicate my feelings lol I'm known to shut down rather then talk so I work hard on trying to do better... and good for you I just got married to my husband and we keep separate bank accounts and I just transfer him money for bills but I can spend my money how I want and so can he
