Its a simple question but when most women get asked this, they are usually stumped. Or they say "Well my self duh" which is not the flex you think it is.

So the truth is that SOME people have insane demands for who they feel they would accept into their lives. Their truth is that they possibly don't WANT to be with anyone, hence the impossible standards.

Others have lived a tough life, know what they require in a partner and deserve to find a person who will meet those standards. (I like to think I'm in this category.) Standards for what we like/love are clear, and usually we're looking for someone who can offer as much as we can offer them. I'm generally very community-minded, for example, so I'd want to be with someone who's able to understand that and participate in those types of activities.

Then we have the "pretty pretty princess" types who want to trade on their looks for the golden pony they don't really deserve. I have one of those gals in my friend circle and it's often amazing to see what her guy will do for the promise of snogging her ON OCCASION when she's willing to allow him to. THEY have been together over 40 years and she has him wrapped around his little finger for no discernible reason... she's pretty, and that's really it. She cooks a little and hits the sauce quite a lot... She doesn't work or keep house or anything, she couldn't have kids, and doesn't seem to contribute much more to his life other than the snogging, tbh, so it's a true mystery.
