Was it wrong of my mom to suggest / impose for my boyfriend to come live together in my moms house later on if we get married?

My mom was telling my boyfriend he could rent out his condo and move in my moms house - altogether the 3 of us later on if he and I got married but my boyfriend got very uncomfortable with that. Was it wrong if my mom to suggest that? Was she overstepping a boundary or was it just a helpful suggestion?

I think she’s being helpful if she’s just suggesting it but not being too pushy about it. But I also think that if he has a condo that maybe you both would be happier living together so I don’t really know why she would impose the idea.

You could just explain it to her that you appreciate the offer but want independence.

I think she meant well. Just bad timing. And the guy might have felt he was being told to hurry up and marry you maybe. But I think it was OK that she said it
