Growing up, how dominant was your dad with your mom?

My dad has a patriarchist mindset but he wasn’t really dominant. He didn’t really want my mom to work and wanted her to stay at home instead. My mom still worked and was actually making more money than my dad did, so my dad guilt tripped her to stop working. My mom has the more dominant and loud personality though while my dad is the soft and sensitive one.

Besides when he would beat her up when they were drunk and she was acting crazy, never.. my mom was always the dominate one in the relationship. She would always tell us all what to do..
