Listen ladies... we guys are simple creatures. Pay attention to what we say, the words we use, because we choose them carefully. How we say things is not important to us, and shouldn't be that important to you.

I’m often overwhelmed by the sheer amount of “feelings” women seem to have on things. We all have feelings obviously, but my mind is in neutral about those feelings 90-some% of the time. I've answered this same question before on GAG. It's the way women communicate and internalize things. I view the two things as related.

Communication: Women cannot communicate directly. They infer, drop verbal (totally obvious) hints (that aren't actually obvious), and use arcane flirting signals. We men are supposed to be so utterly attentive to everything they do that we pick up all this indirect communication. Else it means we don't care about them. Fuck off. Tell me what you want. Stop being afraid to say what you think. Take a risk for once in your life.

Internalizing: They say elephants have extraordinary memories. Women must be realted to elephants. Because everything a man has ever said or done, every perceived slight or mistake, is there in her brain, just below the level of consciousness, ready for immediate recall even years later. Can you ever fucking let it go? I'm tired of hearing about it. I apologized. I'm not gonna keep doing that for the rest of my life. It makes you appear incredibly insecure and needy and that is incredibly unattractive.

They suffer stress, anxiety and depression less than women because they process them more internally instead of spreading them, Therapy industry won't mention this as a strategy because they're losing business and WANT folk dependent on them and medications (both largely supported by women in society). It IS evidence that men are more competent at completing things than women. Women are doing it in a hope of ending it but not making sure, and could be "cries for help" when they're MORE LIKELY despondent beyond redemption and those who fail the first time are far more likely to try again so the wake up call is less common among women. Men who have the same failure see that more positively and are less likely to try again.

US has higher than Europe, Russia and South Korea as well top of the list. Men are victims of CRIME more than women and violent crime especially and THAT has an impact women won't acknowledge let alone realise THEY are privileged in this respect because they are LESS likely to be victims AND have far greater chance of SOMEONE (usually a MAN) coming to protect and save them when men get NO ONE coming. There are no knights in armour coming to save a man, he MUST either fight or die.
What is also the situation is that women's GREATEST risk are (like your example) CRIMINALS known to them. For men it's ACTUAL STRANGERS, people not known to them who are the bigger risk and women choosing bears instead of MEN to meet in the woods who are less likely to be harmed by them when it's MEN who should choose the bear and not another man OR WOMAN. It's also been shown that WOMEN are responsible for over half of domestic violence but because the consequences aren't going to be thorough they don't report it for stigma reasons (he must have deserved it a typical justification) and that women get lenient treatment in court so it's pointless bothering.

As an adult I've been drugged and robbed by WOMEN criminals who left me for dead after robbing me. SO don't pretend criminals are JUST men.

Now I don't know about you but death is a pretty shitty outcome for the victim in a crime but at least there's no trauma or fear after it to drag through your life but you can guess that men who've been hospitalised (twice for me) from being mugged (beaten) drugged and robbed ( by women) have issues after it but we ONLY talk about women as victims ALL THE TIME.

Men KNOW they are at risk and no one will come to their rescue and deal with it just like with emotional turmoil. Experience, store it for processing later and deal with it BY THEMSELVES or with someone they can trust IF and WHEN they think it' is necessary. Same as "bed" there's one voice to order the dog to it's basket, another to describe the object, another to say it's bedtime, and another to invite for a little fun. But if I had to pick just one, the type of women who hate men just for existing. Like it's one thing to hate certain things that a lot of men do, challenge gender norms, and fight for gender equality; but acting like men are straight out of the womb evil is just not right. Most of the men I know are amazed and grateful that their house is kept so clean and tidy by their wives and that everything is on time.
