Can a marriage survive after finding out your wife was sending nudes to another man… on your wedding anniversary?

Six years married. But earlier that day, while looking for wrapping paper, I stumbled across a hidden gift in her closet. It wasn’t for me.

I’d had suspicions for months. Late-night Snapchat messages. Weird behavior. She always said, “He’s just an old friend.” I wanted to believe her. I chose to believe her.

But that day, something snapped in me. I went through the cloud storage on our old nanny cam something I swore I’d never do. And there it was. Video proof. Her sneaking off to take pictures. Snap streaks. Messages. Nudes. Sent to a guy I used to know in college.

When I confronted her, even with the proof in my hand, she denied it. Until she broke down and admitted “most” of it. Said it had been going on for a few months, but they stopped because “it wasn’t right.”

I completely lost it. Emotionally. Mentally. I broke down. I’m embarrassed about how I reacted but I’m getting help now.

A couple days later, we talked. For hours. We even took a day trip to the lake town we used to go to when we were dating one last attempt to hit the reset button. I asked her if she truly wanted a fresh start. She said she did.

But now, every night I lie awake asking myself:
Is forgiveness really possible after betrayal like this? Can I ever trust her again? Or am I just setting myself up to get hurt worse next time?
