Moving on…. That’s really it especially if they did something really bad. Just seeing them as someone who taught them a lesson and understanding they are broken. By traumas probably but as well as their own choices they never choose to grow from those traumas yet inflict those on someone who didn’t deserve it. They will live the life they deserve to live and they aren’t your problem anymore. You’ll feel sorry for them but not sorry enough to want them back.

You will move on and find peace being alone as well as at some point hopefully find the right person. You’ll find they aren’t worth hating because they would rather you hate them then feel nothing at all. They love provoking emotional responses and so just not taking the bait and putting boundaries between you and someone else.

Taking someone back whose not changed is only going to make you resent them a million times more when they break your heart again. People can’t be fixed unless they genuinely from the heart want it.
