Should I try to trick my crush (coworker) into telling me if he has girlfriend?

I made bracelets for the mums at the office for mother's day (as a gift). Should I send a picture of the bracelets to my crush and ask him if he wants one too, for his girlfriend, as a gift, for free... see what he says?

If it's a mothersday gift, it would be weird to give to someone who isn't a mother.

Like he could have a girlfriend, but they could still be without children.
Especially if they tried to get pregnant and can't.
Then someone giving them a mothersday gift could feel like a mockery.

I don't know how the bracelets look and how you would phrase the question if you would do that.
But spontaneously, I think it's probably better to not do that.

Asking someone if they are in a relationship is a fairly normal question.
Even if you aren't interest romantically and/or sexually in a coworker you can still wonder if they have a partner and kids (and maybe pets).
Having some general curiosity of how they live when they aren't at work, without necessarily being super detailed and specific about everything.

You talk about the fact that you live alone (or whatever your current arrangement is.) You talk about how long it's been since the last time you were dating. Towards the end of the happy hour event, you mention that you need to eat something before you try to drive home, and you ask him to recommend some place that's nearby. If he is available and interested, he will take the hints and move on it.
