How many times have you forgiven your partner in a relationship/dating phase?

I've been told im a runner in my situation but im not going to lie im tired of always forgiving behavior and i know i have my ways too but i actually fix my problems.. just wanting to know how long rough patches last for you guys?

Just depends on the chemistry and connection I have with her , I don’t expect a girl to be perfect , but i do expect her to wear my shoes the same way I wear hers , if we want our relationship to survive and for love to continue to grow between us , so when it comes down to boundaries , that her and I have set together , so that her and I are on the same page with things , I would only have an argument with her if she crossed any of those boundaries that we agreed upon , so depending on the boundaries she crossed , I may or may not forgive her. One thing I do not tolerate in relationships is double standards , Basically if she doesn’t want me doing something that hurts her feelings or makes her feel uncomfortable, and I don’t do it at all , then the same boundaries need to apply for her as well, if not , I will kick her to the curb where she belongs. Most of my ex girlfriends all ended because of double standards, that I said Fuck that , because she was a selfish POS person that only cared about herself. It wasn’t ok for me to do things , but ok for her? That doesn’t sit well with me whatsoever, so now they are my exes. No relationship will survive if both partners’ can not remove selfishness from within themselves for each other and no relationship will survive is there is double standards unless one of them is a wimp and doesn’t mind being walked on and lied to. I will only stay loyal and faithful not a girl that chooses me the same way I choose her that makes me her top priority the same way I make her mine. That is loyal and honest and loving , if we argue I will try to fix what is broken between us before making my final decision

I am currently not in a relationship and haven’t been for about ten years.


This was a decision that I made purely out of choice because of a situation that I foolishly overlooked that was present between us and had been going on for eternity!


Her X, who I neither knew or had known about, I seemed to running into him on a regular basis!


He basically would hit me,
yes it hurt, but more to the point left me completely bewildered, why this person who I had never seen before in my life was subsequently starting to become a regular fixture!


Cutting around a long story short I eventually had an injunction put upon this person because he head-butted me and it was witnessed.


Unfortunately, even though I didn’t know, he was her ex-husband, she had told me none of this at the time.


He broke his injunction and he ended up in court and I had to go to court as well, that’s the day that I learned that she was his X wife.


After the court hearing and when I saw her, I confronted her about it. she had been encouraging him to do this To me, hoping that he would get arrested and get into big trouble and then subsequently she would get the house.


I said goodbye to her, and that was that, and I will never forgive her. there are certain scenarios within relationships that are forgivable, but I think such as this are unforgivable!

Forgiveness will be part of a relationship long term, not only on the dating phase. However, you need to establish some boundaries and know mention your deal breakers, if they do XYZ is game over. There are certain things such as violence, abuse, cheating that in my opinion must not be forgiven.
