He had a crush on a girl since multiple months but she did not reciprocate and treated him badly even though he was nice to her.

we began talking because I helped him with his crush but he told me last time we saw each other that he lost all feeling for her and he keep complimenting me all the time?

It’s possible. It’s also possible he may just be taking an interest in you to simply sleep w you. As for him losing interest in this girl, nothing strange about that. Maybe he finally got it through his head that she really doesn’t have an interest in him, that he’s wasting his time so he should move on. As for him liking you even as more than friends, I don’t see why someone would want to be someone’s second choice.

Since you've given him authentic time and shown him compassion there's a good chance he has developed feelings for you. It's how many men work. The appearance of someone CAN be a major factor in making an effort to get into a relationship with a woman BUT it's far stronger building an emotional personal bond with a woman that shows you respect and is there for you. Women who want a man to be with them need to be there for them without the distraction of attraction.

That's what I thought too becuase he was so obsessed with her during months and then 2 weeks after regulary talking with me he tell me he lost all attraction to her.
I was always there for him because he needed it, he actually gave me lot of compliment for it, I'm glad to help him, he was in such a though spot because of his one sided crush

I mean, I'd argue that that's pretty normal and fairly healthy. It's more unusual to stay interested in someone that isn't treating you well or even just clearly isn't interested.

Doesn't mean that he's not interested in you, but from the outside, just the act of getting over a crush is fairly normal.

I will say the compliments thing is more likely to indicate that he's trying to flirt, but that depends on his personality. You'd probably be in a better position to tell me if he was trying to flirt with you than I would.
