It’s an idiom that explains why many times we overlook flaws and imperfections when “In Love”. It also speaks to the fact that love can exist where there isn’t attraction , immediate or otherwise.


Since the definition of being In love can change from person to person and even without consideration of the role that experience or maturity plays in how it’s understood then many folk may naturally disagree , but “ idioms” aren’t meant to be understood literally but figuratively. Given that I love and have loved many people that I wasn’t or am not attracted to they “yes” I would naturally agree 👍

Standards for women are 100% self induced. How many times do men say they prefer natural look instead of camouflage paint?
Women judge each other and criticise each other and compete with each other while men sit and watch, lusten and endure the consequences of that eye rolling waste of time and money.
Many men will want a slim healthy active woman but dgaf about height. Over weight and sedentary behaviour are turn offs but can be fixed, a man's height can not. This is often because of bad habits and poor choices not about appearances.

Men prefer to be with women who are present and content in themself and nature has men appreciate aesthetics of the female form because that's how attraction works. Accentuating these features by women specifically to appeal to that is how women have brought in men to get resources.
Expecting men to flip a switch and become unnaturally besotted with one and end their natural proclivities of attraction to beauty is ridiculous. It's rather hypocritical you out yourself by calling them "bitches" in one breath then saying they are nice to you in the next (women are two faced and will be each other's worst critics and advisors).
