What gives you the ick about your job?

I have a couple things:

• When I start out talking with a female customer, but then, her father, husband, brother, etc, takes the phone from her and takes over the conversation. -___-
• Rude customers, obviously
• When we get to a part of the day when it gets really boring.

• When I'm aware of children's homelife and well being to be worrisome with little power to do much.
• When one of the kids has a melt down and I'm powerless to help them out of it.
• Resources being fueled out of our field, making us "work less for more", "structure us out of shit" and quality of care and professionalism going down for it.
• Being threatened, assaulted or in any way attacked: if it be physically or verbally.
• Vomit. I can't do vomit. Or change feeding tubes. I vomit myself

One of my supervisors. All the other ones are nice and chill but she has to be the one to be absolutely extra. She made us move cubicles via email sent by the lower supervisors to be closer to her like children because of one thing we did instead of confronting us about it like an adult should do and making sure that we would never do it again. She's insufferable.

In my coaching world, it's when someone suddenly shifts from a heartfelt connection to throwing in those pesky excuses as a way of ghosting. Also, when clients come with unrealistic expectations, like thinking love is a perfect fairy tale without any plot twists. 😅 It can be a "relationship cringe," but hey, we all have our icky moments!
