It’s new and exciting. People think initiating the relationship is the hard part and they can’t be father from the truth. Keeping a relationship going is what takes work and effort.

Starting a relationship is easy compared to long term staying loyal, communicating with one another even when it’s hard, working through differences, working through problems, etc.

Unfortunately, it seems to be that one partner or the other expects the other person to put all the effort in. I don’t care if you’re the best woman or man out there… You will eventually become burnt out and exhausted as well as spiritually broke if you put all your effort into someone not giving it back.

I've only ever been with one person, and that was at 27, so my view was altered by how old I was. It was the feeling that someone was actually sexually interested in me. I already know that girls liked how I treated them, but that's a lot different than sexual interest. So, I would say just a sense of awe that this person who I want to be with in a sexual manner feels the same way.
