Has anyone ever told you that they couldn't stand you when they first met you, but then you two became very close friends?

This has actually happened to me twice in my lifetime and it was when I was in my 30's, both from new coworkers.
When they took the time to actually get to know me, we became very close friends. One of those relationships lasted more than 35 years.

No, this never happened to me.

I am very cautious how I interact with people, be it in private or at the university. If I have this feeling that there might be problems with a particular person, then I will avoid the contact and get out of the way of that person.

This has happened to me occasionally where my 6th. sense has whispered to me that I should not get too close to that person because of the bad vibes I got from that particular individual.

I do avoid conflicts whenever possible and so far, my 6th. sense has avoided me a number of situations that could have been tense.

Yes, in jr high school. A girl I didn’t know used to give me the stink eye and I didn’t know why. We ended up in the same circle of friends and became best friends. She told me she didn’t know why she didn’t like me before we met, but it didn’t matter. We made great memories together and I miss her.

Some of my best friends are those people

It was timing the way that we meant. I was probably working and introduced and I was probably more into my work then meeting somebody new. So I was kind of coldish and then a week down the road or 2 weeks down the road. I will run into that person. We start talking and some have told me straight up that. I'm not the same person that they met when they met me. And I have to apologibecause when I'm working. I'm getting paid for something. And I need to get the job done and get out of there


And once they get to know me we become very good friends
