Never fails to surprise me the reasons ‘some’ people hold up so as not to be ‘single’. Weakness like that is hardly an attractive quality though so the way I see it , rejection / self sabotage would be inevitable.

It’s hard to make a blanket statement for ALL people. Some fear rejection so they reject first and are never in relationships.

I think men stay because they know how hard it is to replace her.

I think women stay (for a short while) because it's easier to find a replacement while still in the relationship. They can't stand to be alone and not get 24-7 attention.
