The reason I say this is because the idea of romance itself has been placed on this insanely high pedestal to the point some people can’t function in their identity without a partner and I don’t think that’s as healthy as some might claim. Yes, relationships can improve on you and help you grow, but it’s not the only means to do so and it’s not required for one’s happiness overall either. But having platonic love, a support system, is even more essential than having a partner to one’s overall health and happiness.
