An old tale that we used to see in those trashy lifestyle magazines you'd buy from the gas station.
"10 Reasons Why Having Arguments is Healthy"
"Does Your Relationship Lack Passion? The Spark It Needs May Not Be What You Think"
The dumbest and most generic titles with body text seemingly written by a fourth grader.
But let's consider the surface level arguments in favor of this. It adds drama, it heightens emotions; the guilt and reconciliation, it builds some understanding with regards to each others' ideals and perspectives, the sexual activity that follows is usually incredibly passionate haha.
I personally find the idea of this ridiculous. A perfectly healthy and passionate relationship does not require frequent disagreements and/or arguments regardless of whether the dispute is resolved in a healthy or unhealthy manner.
