My boyfriend is commenting rudely to my art, Am I overreacting?

So me and my boyfriend have been together for maybe a year now, but after I finished art school I've been showing him my art and he hasn't been taking it lightly (For some odd reason.) If I show him my art he will comment with a rude blurb saying things similar to, "Even I could do better than that.", " What's that supposed to be?", and "If only you were good at it."

Honestly I haven't done anything to him, and he's been a total jerk. I confronted him once and he said, "What do you mean? I'm just giving advice." When we all clearly know this isn't advice. This gaslighting and rude remarks are getting on my nerves.

I'm thinking about breaking up, but I need some honest opinions here if I'm overreacting or if I'm in the wrong.

Your boyfriend is unfortunately a piece of shit , if he isn’t supportive of your art work whatsoever, whether he likes your art or not , a partner should always be supportive and be happy for you , so the fact that he isn’t , just shows his true colors that he isn’t supportive of you , it’s almost like he is jealous because he can’t accept the fact that you have a passion for something that he isn’t a part of so he is trying to bring you down instead of up , which isn’t a good thing whatsoever in a relationship. My ex wasn’t supportive of my passion to brew beer , she would say all these negative things to me about it trying to rain on my parade for whatever reason , when she clearly knew brewing was something I always wanted to do and had a passion for , so when I started brewing with my brother and best friend , she was totally against it and saying constant negative things about it , until I realized she doesn’t want to see me happy , about something that didn’t include her. When our first batch of beer was ready to drink , I invited friends over to try it , and everyone of my friends’ loved it and said it was amazing , my ex all of a sudden acted like she was supportive of me the whole time , when clearly she wasn’t , I told all my friends’ the truth about how she was acting when I was brewing beer and they all looked at her like she was a piece of shit for not being supportive. That was pretty much my answer to dump her ass. considering I was always supportive of her passions whether I liked it or not , I still loved her and supported her , so if a partner can’t do the same for you , they aren’t a good partner whatsoever, kick him to the curb , and thank me later
