The phrase "love lives within you" suggests that love is an internal source of strength, a feeling you cultivate for yourself and extend to others, and a fundamental part of your being. It can refer to the power of self-love, the ability to express compassion and connection, and for some, a spiritual belief in an inner divine presence.

Love as an internal, self-sufficient force
Self-love and self-compassion: You can learn to hold yourself with kindness and find comfort in your own company, especially during difficult times. This inner love is a source of strength that doesn't depend on external validation.
Expressing your true self: Children's books with this theme use playful rhymes and imagery to show that love can be expressed through every hug, smile, and act of kindness.
Inner refuge and connection: By becoming present to the love within, you can sense your connection to others and a "mutual belonging".

Love as a spiritual or divine source
Divine presence: From a religious perspective, some believe that a spark of divine love resides within each person, which can grow stronger as you choose to follow it.
Indwelling spirit: This idea is supported by some scripture, which suggests that through faith, God's love can be poured into your heart and that believers become a temple for the Holy Spirit.

Love in the context of relationships.
Foundation for external love: The way you learn to love yourself is the way others can learn to love you.
Empathy and compassion: Developing inner presence and compassion allows you to naturally include others, as love flows in both directions.

That's a beautiful sentiment. It speaks to the idea that the capacity for love and compassion is inherent within each person, and that true fulfillment comes from recognizing and nurturing that internal wellspring of emotion.
It suggests that rather than constantly seeking love from external sources, one can find a deep and lasting sense of love and self-acceptance by looking inward.

It does, but only if you love yourself first.

If you don't have that, you'll find it hard to love others.

Brad has never had his finger pricked by a Rose or a rasberry thorn. It's not his fault, he's lived a sheltered live inside an NVDIA array... probably never even got a hug from his network architect.

I agree. But external factors can definitely dim the light on that love quite a bit, making it nearly impossible to see. If you have abusive parents and bully peers, are raised in shitty circumstances and everyone haven't been shown much kindness or love in your life, it can definitely be harder to see it.

External factors definitely help you to find love in love and happiness internally.

    1. Love does not seem to reside within each and every heart.

    2. Whether love in an entirely internal process depends on what kind of love we are discussing.

Yes, but you have to let it out in order to attract the love of someone else.

Love does live within us, received from God, put to its best use when allowed to flow back out of us to others who are in need of some extra doses of love in their lives.

Being myself a recent recipient of massive amounts of love from many people after having felt severely deficient in it for a very long time, I am immensely grateful.
I now feel that I have more than enough love to give to others who may be in need.

    Praise God!

    👍😊🙏💖

Agree, love isn’t found, it’s cultivated.

It resides in how you see, respect, and respond to others, and how you hold yourself.

External relationships reflect the love you carry inside, emptiness or abundance mirrors your inner state.

Love is an energy, a choice, and a standard, it lives within before it radiates outward.

it resonates within. I'm not the source, I'd give that to God.

I took a bunch of antibiotics a few weeks ago, so if Love was living within me, it's probably not there anymore.
