Flowers are nice, but to me it’s not really about the flowers themselves. They die, they’re temporary, and honestly I’d rather have a sweet fake bouquet that lasts or something that has meaning behind it. What matters more is the effort and the thought.

I think it’s important for a partner to pay attention to what you personally love. Maybe that’s snacks, a favorite drink, a handwritten note, a little gift, or just doing something kind without being asked. Being giving, caring, and thoughtful in everyday ways means so much more than following a traditional gesture just because “that’s what men are supposed to do.”

Consistency, effort, and knowing your partner’s love language matter way more than a bouquet that wilts in a week. It’s the intention behind it that really shows love.

It can’t just be flowers straight from the store. They have to be cut and already put in a vase. And it can’t be just flowers either, I need signs, effort put in to show he actually cares. Flowers are traditional but you know what else I would like? Pokemon cards, or funny memes made to line up with my humor, some sign that he thinks about me.

I dont really care for them, I like them, but I LOVE the sentiment behind them. The fact that he saw something in the store and thought about me, thinking "She would love these! Im going to get them for her" is just lovely.
