So me and my boyfriend have been together for 8 months now

We attend the same uni and we're the same department

Graduation is in 2 months and today student who will attend the graduation has been listed I'm on the list while he is not

He got cgpa of less than 2 and he have to add some courses while I have a good grade and I'll be graduating with great distinction

Initially he tried to get his name on the list with connection but he couldn't

So the thing is peopel on the list get 2 tickets for the ceremony one for ourselves and one for a guest

Well I want my father to attend because it means a lot to me and to him

But my boyfriend asks me to give him the other ticket so he could use It to get in and that's such a hard decision, everyone gets to invite their parents also my father wasn't able to see me graduate highschool so i really want him to be there

The way my boyfriend said it was he was sure I would give him the ticket

So pls i need help, would it be rude to not give him the ticket?
