@Bricealan Sorry about your brother. My friend died of cancer as well. He was moving to North Carolina in 2019 and I wanted to buy him a steak dinner before he left because we did not know when we would see each other again. Then covid happened and the next thing I knew he was gone. I never saw him again.

before Covid, I had a good dive buddy, that I met through our diving club. We went to Catalina several times. He was an Engineer. One day I got an email that he was 'out of the water for 6 months' ? I tried to contact him many times... and found that he had died of Cancer

@Bricealan yes, thats pretty much what happened. We emailed each other a couple of times a month and he told me his cancer treatments were going good. I did not hear from him at Christmas and I wondered if he somehow got divorced (he was on his 4th wife) again. I pokes around to see if he was still living in the same place. That is when I found that he died a few weeks earlier. One of his sisters should have let me know.
