When I was young I was with a guy who was a few years older, but at the time when you are 18 and he is 22, that was a difference because he could buy alcohol lol. When we finally split up in my mid twenties, I did date a guy briefly who was probably in his early 30's. He wasn't particularly mature nor did he have money, I liked him because he was cute and fit, but really it was just a temporary fling. Since then I have never dated someone who was older. I met my ex-husband when I was 28 and he was 25 and we were together for quite some time.
So, in my 40's and divorced, I just found myself attracting younger men, men in their 20's. I did date men my age but they were either really out of shape and had let themselves go or they were damaged by a divorce and either bitter/negative/sad or just wanted a casual sexual deal and I did not. I would notice guys my age that were attractive but they always ended up being married. Some of my friends said that is why they were attractive, because their wives were dressing them, lol. I also would have dated 30 somethings but rarely ran into one. I think the 30's are where most men were finally marrying and having kids.
For some reason I have found 29/30 to be a magical age for a man only because if he is still single he tends to be ready for commitment and if he likes a mature woman and he is an old soul, we hit it off real well. My fiance is 32 and I am 48. Of course, reality is, that a big age difference can impact a relationship, but age itself is not enough to pick any partner or discount them either.

My theory is that guys are always looking for a surefire way of getting to sex. So, some guys think young gals are more gullible and easier to get into bed, some think girls who are insecure are an easy target and others think that older women just want no strings sex. It is so funny. However, for me I weed throw those guys and have met some high quality men to date and now, marry :)

Yes, gotta love that. They have totally been fed a line about us needing sex. I am in my sexual prime but that is not the same as saying I want casual sex. What they don't consider is that most women of any age don't want one random partner after another. Therefore, even if we don't want marriage, we do want a steady someone in our lives who we enjoy on many levels, not just sex. Oh well, funny stuff.

I am about to be 20 and I would say that I wouldn't date anyone who is more than 10 years older than me, and I just changed that opinion recently at first it was I wouldn't date anyone over 3 years older than me. I can't date anyone my own age though because they are not mature enough to handle me, I am way mature for my age. If he looks younger than his age then that is a definite plus, because we don't wanna date someone that looks like they would be 10 years older you know. But some girls don't care. Haha, every question like this is so predictable - most of the women who answer just make the asinine assumption that we're still in grade ten and that guys who are older are inherently more mature.
Girls do technically mature faster than boys on balance, but boys do certainly catch up before too long. But it's like girls completely forget that and mistake male idiosyncrasies for juvenile behavior. But after like, I dunno, 18 or so, the maturity thing isn't anywhere near as significant as people conventionally believe.
I mean, I've met kids who were younger than me who are mature and prepared for the cruelties of reality. And I've met some much older people who needed to grow up fast. So in essence, I think maturity is something that should be gauged on an individual basis rather than grouping all dudes and all girls together like pretty much everyone does.

I think when I was younger I only considered older guys, like a younger guy would be too immature. The guy that I like now is a little over a year younger than me. It's taken a while for me to adjust to being older. It's only a year, but still it's kind of odd to think about at first. Like I'm 21 and can go out to a bar and he can't because he's only 20. He's really smart and sweet so in some ways he seems to be on a similar maturity level, but he's definitely lacking in other areas like socially lol.
I don't think I could go too much older... Probably less than 10 years or I'd start to feel uncomfortable with our age difference. I don't know... Being 21 and thinking about dating someone 31 is just bizarre to me right now. We'd be in completely different places in our lives...

Older guys are great, but for now I'd rather stick to guys around my age, like up to 4 years older and one year younger. I'm 18 by the way. It's flexible though, it's not like I'm going to turn down a great guy I'm compatible with just because of his age.

I find that I tend to have the most in common with guys who are pretty close to my age. I would only go up to three or four years older. Any more than that and there seems to be too much of a disconnect between my goals and his.
I suppose there could be exceptions, and as I get older the age range will probably expand more, but for right now, I'm gonna say four years max.

Yes, women love older men. Personally, I always dated men who were around my age and just recently I started seeing a fellow who is seven years older than me. The maturity difference is very evident and I love it. At this point in my life, I don't really have a "limit". I judge people based on their personality. Also, it does not matter if he looks younger than his age. Again, it is all about the personality and the way he carries himself. Confidence is sexy.

For hooking up, maybe a little older, like I've hooked up with a 23 year old before...but I don't think us dating would really work because in terms of personality we'd be so different so I don't think it'd work out.
