From my own input and what I've observed from my friends and acquaintances, young guys like myself are willing to sleep with older women no problem, but it's off-putting to stay with them unless they are mature and successful in their career. Reason being is that older women clearly have children on their mind first and foremost so anything more than a one night stand leads to clingy and quick moving relationships that feel like high school 2.0 but with higher stakes that will interfere with our endeavours or career aspirations. It's hard to justify being with someone if they are primarily after us just to make kids. And because kids are going to be a high priority, it must be taken into account that few of us would actually be willing or ready at this point in our lives to have them.
All that being said. If an older woman can make kids a non issue and pursue me for me, i personally would be much more willing to date her and give it a chance to flourish.
I've no problem being with an older women (been there done that... twice) but probably not as a dating prospect, mostly because I don't do relationship (not until I'm 27) and partially because I wouldn't think an older women wants a relationship with someone way younger like me.
Some young men might like older, experienced women. But for longterm relationships you need to be clear that you might not want to have children or you can't have children. This is the one disadvantage older women suffer from. Older men can still father children if with a younger woman. If you want to be someone's fantasy, I suppose you can do that. But don't you simply want to be appreciated for what you bring to a relationship, not as some fetish?
Because I don't look my age it has confused a few younger men. In my case younger men are late 30s early 40s. It's been in social situations not dating. I tend to let any interest just fade away not attend to it. I don't do casual and I wouldn't start with someone who hasn't accomplished what they want in life like marriage and kids.

I was just looking at your age and I had my child at 38 easy peasy. We all age at different rates so for some dating younger is less of an issue. My ex was one year older than me. In the past when I was 27 I briefly went out with a man who was 21.

Yep they do. I'm also older and look younger but take care of myself very well. I've dated a few younger guys who made me their girlfriend and proudly showed me off in public. I'm currently pregnant by a younger guy (and we're in a relationship) and down the line in another year or two after the baby he's willing to marry me and wants another baby. Don't get caught up on this age stuff. As long as you're beautiful and have a good personality that's all men of all ages care about. It's not about age, I'm sure you've seen unattractive and fat/out of shape younger women before.

I'm good looking (not bragging) and in good shape so I have no problem attracting these younger guys but I'm wondering if it scares them off when I tell them my real age.
I hooked up with a 23 year old recently and he thought I was about 28 and I think he got a bit of a shock when he found out I was older. Trust me I know exactly how you feel. I felt insecure too but think about it he liked you because you're hot and you look younger so it's not a big deal. I don't think your age really bothers him, it's not like you're 65 or something. Good luck with him. ☺
I have thing for I don't like to say older but seasoned more mature women. You don't have to play games they know what they want and when you know how to go with the flow instead of going against the grain you will be introduced to a world unimaginable by most male standards.
I probably wouldn’t see them as a dating prospect. I’m 22 and I don’t really see anyone older than 18 or 19 as a dating prospect. For men, when it comes to dating with the intention of marriage and building a family, younger is better. I wouldn’t date younger than 16 though.

I’m not really sure. I’ve always thought they were attractive. Maybe due to the crush I had on my 4th grade teacher. Nowadays at college, I pay way more attention to the professors and moms and older students to the women my age. Also, I live in an area that is mostly older people so there are plenty of attractive older women here. Nobody my age, really.

Some do, some don't. Its like everything, each person has their own preferences. I believe it also has to do with maturity levels. If you are more mature you aim for someone with a similar maturity level and visa verser.

Ah, well, I think a lot of younger men would be fine with those things. And certainly not everyone is looking to settle down in their 20s. I think there are lots of people that hook up and would do so with someone in their late 30s without a second thought. The only thing is that some of them might be less likely to approach someone outside of their usual age range because they might be less confident that you're interested or that they will know what to say. Then again if you do look like you're still in your 20s, you're probably more likely to get approached. And I don't think if they find out your age it would likely be an issue (at least if he's looking for friends / something casual).

Someone can be 20 and be hideous and another women sitting next to that person is 40 and beautiful would still get more attention than the 20 year old.
When I reached my 20s i wanted someone who was mature. Something that wasn't so dramatic. In my mind to go after someone older made sense. So yes i find older women attractive but not bc it's a fantasy thing.
